Betseygail Rand
Betseygail Rand was born in Gainesville, Florida, to proud parents Kenneth and Colleen Rand. Shortly thereafter, she became an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Texas Lutheran University. She is married to Jamaal Fraser, and has one lovely daughter, so far. Her parents are still proud of her.
In her free time she plays soccer, writes and records songs, and talks on the phone to her mother, Colleen. Betseygail has one published mathematics book. It is : Pattern-equivariant Cohomology of Tiling Spaces with Rotations: A Most Serious Endeavor. Her mother can read the title.
Colleen Rand
Colleen Rand is both an artist and writer. Her artwork has appeared on magazine covers and book jackets, and is in public and private collections nationwide. Paintings can be seen on her WEB site www.randart21.com
Colleen was an assistant professor at the University of Florida. Her academic publications are about obesity and body image. She has three children, all grown, and lives in Gainesville, Florida, with her husband, cat, and dog.
